Dragon Turtle’s second full length and fifth release, Distances is a passing reflection of traveling aquatic landscapes and deserted American towns. Ships and harbors come to life with floating ghostly visions built with spaced out guitars and lush reverberated arrangements. Various sounds and instruments are buried over vocals that barely float above the water, creating songs that vary from minimal ambient to the epically psychedelic with lyrics that read like quick sketches from a traveler’s notebook.
